Environmental Family Camp
August 23-29, 1998

Family Camp #4 at Cass Lake Episcopal Camp this Summer will have an Environmental Stewardship theme and members of the Environmental Stewardship Commission of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota will be Deans and Chaplains of the session.  All of the "fun things" will still be part of the program -- a canoe trip, beach activities, lake adventures, and a kitchen staff to prepare the meals and do the dishes --, but the emphasis during adult study time will be on the environment and our stewardship of God's beautiful gifts to us.

The curriculum has been chosen to include a wide variety of topics, all of which are intended to make us aware of the world around us and all of God's creatures and their place (and ours) in the grand scheme.  the worship services will introduce campers to the Creation Liturgies used in churches around the world and people will be encouraged to share their own experiences in relating to the environment.

Campfire time will include singing and the telling of creation stories from other faiths and traditions, and we will do star- and moon-gazing, because the skies at Cass Lake Episcopal Camp are loaded with heavenly bodies!  The camp is the ideal spot to see the wonders of our environment and learn ways to protest and preserve those wonders.

We believe this Family Camp will be an experience that will give you and your family a new perspective for your lives and we hope you will mark August 23-29, 1998 on your calendars.
