Our stewardship of God's creation and the window into God's kingdom that sacred places provide for us are important. The events listed below will lead you to upcoming environmental stewardship and awareness events. We urge you to attend these events when and where you can and tell them you saw it on our web site!

August 1998: Strands in the Web of Life, Montreat College, Asheville, NC.

October 1998: Episcopal Diocese of California resolution to purchase green power. Updated with latest information concerning "Episcopal Power & Light"

April 1999: Clergy Conference, Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota, with theme on Environmental Stewardship, April 19-21.

October 2000: A Resolution on Church Buildings, Activities, and the Environment approved at the 143rd Convention of the Diocese of Minnesota (27-29 October 2000). Available for your input or use in your diocese.

May 2001: Environmental Justice Conference of the National Council of Churches (Washington, DC, May 21-23, 2001).

June 2001: A Resolution on The Spirituality of Food Production approved at the 144th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Minnesota (October 26-27, 2001) and subsequently approved at the 74th General Convention of the Episcopal Church (2003). Available for your input or use in your diocese.

November 2001: Article about the MEESC in the Duluth Budgeteer News

Fall 2006: Vote the Environment Campaign in congregations of the Diocese of Minnesota through the U.S. Mayors' Agreement to Protect the Environment

September 2007: Supported the Gwich'in by joining with the Alaska Coalition, US PIRG, and Republican Environmentalists in urging Senator Coleman and Representative Kennedy to block drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
