Environmental Reflections
Readings not in a Lectionary Year
In 1996, starting with Lectionary
Year B, the MEESC launched a multi-year project to complete reflections
and comments on the earth-centered aspects of the Standard (Episcopal)
Lectionary readings. Major work on filling the gaps in this page
is undertaken each time we are in a Lectionary Year.
With the introduction of the Revised
Common Lectionary (RCL) for regular use, some readings are no
longer part of the regular use readings. In many cases we have
an environmental reflection on that reading which we wish to make
available to those seeking such. Also, sometimes contributors
have been moved by what they have read (in a service, as part
of a Bible study, etc.), that they have written a reflection.
Both of these instances are captured here.
If you would like to contribute,
please see the directions at the end of this
page.
